summer

Of course I have to start off with a picture of my little sweet pea..... well, not mine, but Laura and Mike's sweet pea....

Anyways- it seems as though the summer weather is finally here.  I usually LOVE hot days, but since I am carrying around extra weight~ it isn't quite as fun.  Today Dad, Arlene, Mike and Uncle Pa went swimming.... and I stuck my feet in, but I am not quite brave enough to jump in yet-  plus, I am not very graceful.  :)   

We had a good week.  I got to spend lots of time with Lo and Kate- in fact, since they stayed at dad's, and Jesse and I stayed at dad's, Lo came and woke me up at 7:30 and put Kate in our bed to snuggle for a few minutes.  Laura and I took Kate on her first adventure shopping this week.... made quick stops at the mall, target, the grocery store and out for lunch.  Kate is such a good baby~  I will feel lucky if our little one is half as good as she is!  I have a ton of nicknames for her already- I cant wait to see which one sticks!  

Speaking of babies-- our little one is certainly being stubborn.  He/She still hasn't dropped and so I go to the Dr.  on Monday to see what will happen next (whether I need to be induced or have a c-section).  The Dr. has said that he/she is  certainly growing bigger each day- which makes me quite nervous!  Hopefully we will have a healthy little one here SOON, as I am beginning to get a little more tired, more cranky, more uncomfortable, and certainly more sappy and demanding.  I am grateful that Laura and Jesse have been able to handle me these last 2 weeks..... yikes.  xoxo

We've heard from Erin a couple of times and it sounds like they are having fun on vacation.  She did manage to sprain her ankle ( anyone who knows her, knows she has issues....) but she said it's feeling better.  We are looking forward to seeing them this week!  

Jesse and I will soon be moving into our house.  We went over to the previous owners last night and they are going to leave some stuff there for us, and we will buy some stuff from them.

They are great people and we enjoy chatting with them.   It will be fun to finally be settled in.

Other than that, not much else going on.  I am confused as to how it is already near the end of June??.   July promises to be a busy month!  I look forward to rocking my sweet one, more time at the lake, a glass of wine and some of Erin's delicious lemon drops, boat rides, a trip to MPLS to meet up with some dear girlfriends that I haven't seen in (what seems like) FOREVER, and maybe even a twin islands reunion! 

Summer is in full swing!

I'm still here.... no baby yet.  Apparently he/she doesn't want to arrive until Erin/Bill get back, so I'll just patiently wait ( or not-so-patiently-wait).  

I had a good week.  Lo and Kate were out lots and we made a few outings up to see mom, g&g Pod, g-squared, and then finally took Kate to her first Timberdays celebration last night.  I'm so glad that they are around because otherwise I'd be bored sitting at home, not wanting to go too far by myself.   Jesse has fallen in love with our sweet niece as well- I love watching him hold and feed her, and just lay on the floor next to her.  I've never really seen him around babies~ I can't wait to see him with our little one.  At any rate, kate is giving him so good practice!!  Now if we can just work on the diapers....  :)    OH- and we've been using Kate as our photography subject... she's such a pretty little one.  

It is FINALLY a gorgeous day here!  We were up early (5:30 on a saturday?), so Jesse made waffles and then he decided to go fly fishing. I decided to come out to dad's.  I am sitting in the window being covered in the hot sun.  I LOVE it.  This afternoon we are headed up to visit Jesse's parents and have dinner.

Oops- I just heard dad say " Erin's gonna kill me!"  Apparently he's in charge of her PRECIOUS gerbera daisies, and he's watered them too much.  Let's hope they're still kickin' when they get back from vacation!

Looking ahead, I have a dr appt on Monday.... and then NO PLANS for the rest of the week. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can get outside some.

Hi Auntie Erin and Uncle Bill!  I miss you too!

Summer Vacation!!

I just wrapped up another school year..... honestly, where did that 9 months go??  My first day of vacation I spent with Laura and Baby Kate.  We went up and visited mom at work so she could show off her beautiful granddaughter.  Mom treated us to lunch (thanks!) and then Lo and I headed back to Cook to show off Kate a little more!  She is so darn beautiful.  I really can't get enough-- in fact, as I type this, I am waiting for her arrive so I can do a bit more snuggling!  Anyways- yesterday was my second official day off, and I spent it being quite lazy.  I met Erin and Bill at the Comet for a smoothie/coffee/tea before they headed off on their 3 week Australian vacation.  I miss them already!   They are ALMOST finished with their long 2 days of traveling.  After the smoothie meeting,  I went back home and decided to do a little napping, a little cleaning, and a little more napping.  A great second day.

Today Jesse and I came out to dad's to do a little visiting~ and we were both supposed to go to his parents (but since I didn't get to squeeze kate today....)- I decided to hang out here for the day.   

Tonight we are going out to the Whistling Bird on a date- and it is great to think that I have absolutely NO PLANS (ok, other than hopefully delivering a baby soon- cause I am tired of waddling around).
