The weekend.
Well- here is my weekend. I am not sure why I am compelled to blog again, since usually I only write every other week or so-- but, here goes! Saturday I got up early and went into town to visit gram and gramps. They were both a little sleepy, but I made sure to get them up for a nice visit. Gramps and I shared some chocolate ( a favorite of his) and I tried to hook their phone up for them-- but no such luck. I guess my dad will have to figure that out. After my visit, I met up with Kerrisa again. We went and got a coffee and then drove around and chatted for quite some time. It is always so fun to see her. We were able to catch up on the past weeks before she headed back to Duluth for school. I TRIED to get her little sister, Kaylee (another 'secret sister' of ours!) to come and join us, but she had been out hunting and wanted to nap before work.... We have known these girls since they were very little, and they've just become part of our family! It has been so fun getting to watch them grow up ( as we grow up as well).
I was also able to see my cousin Rochelle yesterday. She was up from the cities with her 3 children. She has two beautiful daughters, and recently (about 3 weeks ago!) added a baby boy to the family. Aiden is just precious and I am certainly glad I had the chance to meet him and catch up with Rochelle again.
I came home for a quick chance to make spaghetti (doesn't that sound delicious) before I headed down to the Landing to meet up with Taryn and Matt. We had a nice visit and it is always fun to see them. Our evening was spent reminiscing (or however that is spelled) and telling family stories, which is always a hoot! We had lots of giggles. Taryn and I are planning to meet up in Duluth in a couple of weeks, and I hope to see her little one this time too!
As for SUNDAY..... Well, I didn't sleep in like I wanted to. Bummer! But- I did get a lot accomplished today. I cleaned the kitchen and more importantly, my bedroom. It looked like my closet had exploded. So- I took some time to do some sorting, laundry, pulled out my winter sweaters and also grabbed some clothes to bring to the thrift shop. Then- I proceeded to take a little nap. Now that I am finally awake, I've baked some delicious blueberry muffins. My next plan is to write out some letters (snail mail) since I haven't done that in forever. I need to catch up!
Anyways- I hope everyone enjoyed the extra hour of sleep last night!
