catching up
Here it is- November already! Where does the year go? I've seen Christmas decorations out already-- and though I know it is still too early for Christmas, it does make me a little secretly happy. I love this time of year..
A couple of weekends ago, Erin and I headed to MPLS to spend a fun-filled girls weekend with Amy and Trisha. We did tons of laughing and had a great time just being together. I look forward to our next gathering! I was also able to get a quick visit with Nikki as she met us at the mall Saturday while we shopped around. It was great seeing her too-- even if it was short! Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet up with Annie on Sunday as I wasn't feeling the best and wanted to be home..... (annie- i'll make it up to you!!) ANyways- it was a great weekend with great friends.
This past week was a rough one at school. It rained all week long, which meant we couldn't go outside. I think I should put raincoats and jumping-in-puddle-boots on my school supply list. Maybe next year.... At any rate, my kids were ready for the weekend- and so was I! The upcoming week brings conferences.... I love getting to visit with parents, but I dread the long nights. When you are at school until 7:00 at night for 2 nights, you kind of feel like you just slept there. The good news: I have Friday off. :)
All the guys are out hunting this weekend. I hope they are having some luck! I decided to come and spend the weekend out at Erin's. We both go to bed thinking "I hope I can sleep in tomorrow!"... and then 6:11 rolls around and I'm up. I lay in bed and pretty soon I hear Erin at 6:30-- she's up. So at 7:00 we are both up, stalking blogs, checking the weather and news and planning our day. Erin is leaving to go and hang out with a friend from school-- so I'll probably just work on some school work until she gets home. Then I suppose we'll take a trip to Virginia to do a little shopping.
Happy weekend!

I guess I was the one who slept in...7:00 for me when I heard Jack, "Hey mom!". I was just thinking how I LOVE Christmas! I wish I was there to hit up Target with you girls. I guess I'll have to settle for Wal-Mart.
Love you!

i had to laugh at the early waking...both rick and i think this is the morning we can sleep in...and we both roll over and look at the clock...6:30a.m.
What the heck!!!!! Oh well it is less stressful, as we know we can stay in our jammies, drink coffee, catch up on the week and enjoy our boys'!
I admit...I am a blog stalker too!
