almost april....

I can't believe tomorrow is March 31. Usually- March is the LONGEST month that tends to drag on and on.... but- here we are near the end! Hooray! Highlights include...
1. A perfect 30th bday- complete with an overnight shopping/dining/relaxing getaway.
2. A perfect bday dinner out at Erin's..... even getting served and not having to move a muscle!
3. Laura's baby shower- with tons of fun people, fun gifts, and fun food.
4. A quick trip to MPLS to visit Jesse's grandparents. His grandma had fallen and has been in a rehab facility for about 3 weeks. She looked great and seems to be doing well. We are hoping and praying she'll get home next week sometime....
5. We are in the process of buying our first house.... it's gorgeous (Ok- i am biased...but...). It has restored hardwood floors, beautiful built in cabinets, a 4 season porch, a BEAUTIFUL staircase (oddly enough, my fav. part!), a room that will be perfect for a nursery... I LOVE IT! And- I can't wait to have guests over! The downfall is that we can't move in until August- but it's also kind of a secret blessing as I wouldn't be much help moving in May anyways! I'll try to get some quick pics on here one of these days...
6. My belly is getting so round... and i love it. We get more and more anxious to meet this little one-- and his/her cousin who will be arriving around the same time! Of course we are working at getting the baby room ready, and Auntie Erin's house ready too. :)
7. Trisha's bday party at the VC- a surprise with lots of people.
8. 4th quarter started today.... wowsers.

There you have it.

Taking a Dive

Yesterday I decided to scare myself. Not on purpose. We are staying at my in-laws for the week so we can watch their dog. So.... this is good, because I have 1 minute drive to school each day. Anyways- yesterday Jesse decided to stay home from work to get some things done. I LOVED this idea, because this meant he could meet me for lunch. So- he came and picked me up, we went and ate, and then he had to deliver a piece of plywood to the school shop, because the high schoolers are making me a bookshelf.... Anyways, to make a long story short(er), we came back to the school at lunch and as I was stepping out of the truck, I totally biffed it. HARD. It hurt- but more than that, I was worried about the baby.... so - I did what I always do- cry. I got back to my classroom, tried to look calm and then called my dr. He told me to come in... so.... I quick called jesse, and down to Virginia we went. Luckily, the baby seems to be fine, and though I am a little sore- I am much better knowing that things are ok. Thank goodness. We got home around 5, Jesse made dinner, did the dishes, and waited on me all evening, even putting my socks on and off.... what a guy. I didn't sleep much, but I'm thinking I might get a snow day tomorrow to catch up on some rest. We'll see.
OK- so now things to be grateful for.
1. We're ok.
2. I had a gift waiting in my mailbox from my #1 roomie- hot tamales, nail polish, and tons of Caribou coupons. She knows me so well. ;) THANKS NIKKI!!
3. After the Dr. I treated myself to my Apple Chai Infusion. It was yummy.
4. My para at school is the best... she kept me calm and took over my class so I didn't have to worry about my little ones one bit.
5. My bookshelf is being made!
6. I didn't have to have oral surgery.

that's all.
